| Yeah so it's been forever and more since I've posted on my lj. So randomly this morning I had a super bleeped up stress dream. Lets just say somehow I was finding skin I had necrosis from bites from a recluse spider and then somehow as I removed my clothing for a doctor to check it up I was finding more and more areas majorly affected by said bites....aka messed up crap.
It's all due to my upcoming surgery tomorrow. -_-;;; My wrists have been acting up majorly for the past year and a half to where hand sewing is a major pain in the ass, and something I like to pass on all together. Yay to carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists. Mind you in my dream I first caught the necrosis on the inside of my wrists...*coughs* Anyway should be interesting attending Onicon in braces cuz I can't remove them until 2 weeks after my surgery. But, yay for extended vacation I didn't originally plan. Well at least my insurance covers it all. So Onicon will be super relaxed cosplay wise from me. Although I'm hoping to have at least one thing new. Wrist braces or not.

| Wow, I've got a fucking headache. It's killing me. I'm having to make some not so nice decisions and my brain in beating me up, really.
Aside from that I'm looking at moving outta Houston by the 30th. Going to move in with my Daniel. *such a formal name.* It going to be interesting. Need to find a new job, whore out my skillz. Something like that.
Oh and I'm having a House Warming party. If someone actually reads my journal, cuz you know I really like to update it a lot. You are welcome to come. Just reply and say so. It'll be in Sealy, TX, so hopefully it's not too outta the way. Just not too many people. If people are drunk and can't drive home, we only have like a bed and couch. And a dusty pool table. Well I know the bed is taken. Haha, Kyandi and Zach. Couch for Abby, can possibly squeeze another.
Other good news is I got my tax refund. *Watches it fly away* Need to pay off my credit cards. I don't want to have to pay for anything after I move, so I'm tying off my ends. At least it's enough to cover them. I've had one card just staring at me going pay me off, pay me off. And finally I can. Whoot and I have good credit to boot! *promises self to not to touch them again for a long while*

| So instead of wasting my time watching trying to watch a movie I'm going to start listing Ina progress. It's so I can get some *twitchy* nerves going so I can finish this costume in time. I took my time making my weapon. It makes me all sorts of happy. Right now I'm working on foamie sheet armor. I have to say I'm likeing it.
I wanna draw more puff paint dragons and clouds. Haha I was making my wrist band for Ina. And well it looked like a dragon in the image..so be it.
Stuff done to date:
-at finally fitted with velcro closures. I was going to use metal snaps but the support straps are too thick for those
-About finished my wig. I still need to razor cut the bangs and trim wild hairs. Don't you love wefts and their short hairs.
-Partially done calve armor. Another foam wonder and a few days ago I made foam shoulder armor. Which I've yet to paint...and I don't look forward to that...
-Pants made *nobrainer*
-weapon
-random arm/wrist/ankle/waist armor...semi complete due to lack of paint...
I've still got a shit load of sewing ahead of me. Quilting and a fitted top with a built in bra. Oughta be fun...

| I'm about finished my comission for Kitphiros. She comissioned me a Pirate Snowe Vingerhut jacket/shirt/collar/gauntlets and FFAC Cloud Armor. Sans the Lionhead. I'm just putting on the finishing touches. Aka braid and gloss coat.
Aside from that I bought myself some hardware for Xmas, I really don't celebrate christmas due to my family having stopped celebrating it. It just makes a lovely excuse to spend more than I should on myself. I got this cute lil' dremel kit 'rec by a friend and a palm sander. All for prop weapons....dies.
I've gotta research more on using fiberglass thou, being I wanna use it for a future weapon. I kinda don't want my weapon to be really a weapon. Since Kyandi was like "Just make it outta wood, it's a bow anyhow."
Other than that I got a shitload of fabrics to start off this cosplay. I'm going to put my alternate Ion Fortuna costume on the backburner for now since that wouldn't take very long to make. | | Random sewing update for myself. I finally finished the Iori coat yesterday and it's fully lined and lovely! Hmm took about 10-12 hours for everything...pattern, cutting, sewing. I'm loving the perfect applique of the cresent moon on the back. Aside from that the damn thing would have been finished say 3 hours sooner hadn't I decided to fuck myself and handstitch the linings base in place(could have machined it but i wanted a seamless base sorta like a suit). | Well my newest icon sports me in my custom colored and cut wig for those who asked to see it. Pretty isn't it? Makes for a lovely Iori Yagami wig ne? =P Just think it used to be dirty blond and didn't have those huge bangs. All coloring and razorcutting was done by me.
